About Me

I started as a travel writer, but when things went awry I got stuck in Jacksonville, Florida. I'm an anthropology major and photography minor now and close to finishing my BA. My areas of expertise are culture, archaeology, religion, and linguistics.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

June through August I will be in Europe to study abroad, but some of those days are before and after the class. Since I've never been to Europe, I wanted to travel around it as much as possible. Hopefully I can meet some people and not sleep in a tree.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite movie is Six String Samurai. The soundtrack and story go so well together, but the ending leaves something to desire. I'm a fan of rom coms that don't follow suit with the main theme of guy meets girl, guy messes up, guy gets back with girl. Examples are Garden State and 500 Days of Summer.

My music tastes are pretty broad from B.B. King to the pillows.

Books? Elliot Hester, Stephen King, and H.P. Lovecraft.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As a kid I got hit by lightning and was given hero complex.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a four field anthropologist. I've picked up a lot in my field to teach, and I learned a lot of useful things to help in daily life and travel. I also do motorcycle repair, specifically old BMWs. I also use to teach guitar and am classically trained.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can sing, play guitar, and I tell some great stories. I have some incredible stories of the adventures I've done, and I know quite a few myths to share. I also love to cook. Also, if you have any broken machinery, I can maybe fix it.

Countries I’ve Visited

Countries I’ve Lived In
