ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Daeha Kim, I'm from Korea and graduate student now. I am originally from South Korea, but moved to New York where I working as a volunteer fire fighter and emergency medical technician. I also like outdoor activities and meet people from all around the world. I enjoy traveling, hanging out with others, reading, learning foreign languages. I am an optimist and see the opportunity in every difficulty. Always remember life is worth living, no matter how complicated or hard it gets. If for nothing else but to see how the story ends.

PHILOSOPHY

Relax, have fun, eat good food, see the world. Life is so much richer if I mix in good friends, so make sure I have plenty of good friends.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My goal with every guest, be it a surfer, a friend, or both is to have them feel at home, consequentially I have friends that now plan parties at my house and invite me.

Interests

People, places, food – eating, outdoor activity, and movie, reading book. The world. I've had(have) way too many hobbies to list, so I'll stop. My favorite hobby is making value like volunteering.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I made a project on UNICEF challenge competition. Through it, I had a opportunity to help African children(Democratic Republic of Congo) to get clean water easily for their live.

Last summer vacation, I volunteered and instructed Taekwondo trainee in Rwanda as a member of World Taekwondo Peace Corporation. I could saw and feel their eyes are shining to learn it. That was so invaluable experience.
