TRAVELLING AROUND AMERICA! :)

Hello! To whom it may concern, my name is Dafne and I live in a little town very close to Madrid, Spain. I grew up there, with my friends and family. I finished college and started working on my first real adult job, so currently I am a nurse at a hospital in Madrid. Even though my job is a big part of my life and I love what I do, I also have a lot of hobbies. Since I was little, I have loved music and dancing, I also enjoy doing any kind of outdoor activity, specially rock climbing and skiing.
But I think what describes me best is my curious spirit, which always moves me to want to know more, and that is why travelling is wonderful!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since the very first time I heard about Couchsurfing I thought it was an amazing idea and a fun way of travelling.
When visiting a different city for the first time, it is all new, and there is so much to learn about every and each place we visit. From trying the best dishes to walking around the most beautiful streets. And of course, learning about the culture and the people!
I think Couchsurfing allows travellers to have a better and more enjoyable trip, because you get to share that with someone else, and not just anyone, but someone who already knows a lot about the city!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kind of music, anything that is catchy and makes you dance. I like oldies, big fan of David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Janis Joplin. I also like music a little more updated, such as Vampire Weekend, Ed Sheeran. But really, when a song is wonderful, it's wonderful.

I love watching movies, depending on my mood, I would enjoy a comedy one, an action one, a romantic one or just a slow movie where not much happens but it is full of meaning. There is just one type of movies that someone would have to trick me into watching, and that is scary movies.

Reading books is one of my hobbies, I enjoy a good book that gets you on the edge of the couch and makes you want to keep reading non stop! I like reading actual books, not the new fancy popular e-books, that, dont get me wrong, I am sure they are very comfortable to carry, but to me, the essence of what a book means disappears. I enjoy getting lost in the paper pages and flipping through them, making me part of the story I am reading.

I can teach spanish. I can also teach about Spanish culture and the delicious food we eat!

I would love to learn about other cultures and people, I am interested in fun facts, history and the adventurous stories that people have lived.
