About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Personal growth... learn, observ and absorb all I can to be a better me... get to know the world that's outside my daytoday life...

ABOUT ME

I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I'm very curious and enthusiast about a lot of things, and now I'd like to meet people with interesting and authentic things to share.
I want to get to know the authentic show off the places I visit, from a local point of view and not the one that is touristic, plastic and prefabricated.

-.Note that this paragraph will never be as updated as my socialmedia profile.
UPDATE from last edit: it seems I'm am influencer now, so my public profile is @lalocadeltaper, I'm not using my personal social media anymore 🤷🏼‍♀️ 😅

I'm trying to understand the world arround me, why is everything so complex... I'm convinced that the cultural exchange would give me that variety of points of view I'm looking for to understand at leat a little bit more this reality.

I've written a book about environmental education, climate change, responsible consumption and all that stuff, called "Cómo rompimos el mundo y cómo podemos arreglarlo" (How did we broke the world and how can we fix it).

I'd like to meet people with interesting and authentic things to share.

I love debating about ethics and moral issues, bah, I may create a debate from about anything.
I love argumenting and interchange thoughts with thinking people, always with respect and tolerance.
I just don't like to speak to a tape/wall.

I'm bringing awareness, information and inspiration to make changes to our lives and reduce our impact in the planet through my socialmedia profile @lalocadeltaper (Spanish for "the crazy Tupperware girl"). We're a very committed community of +127.000 😉

Before I've volunteered in several ngos (for +10 years) Por los chicos, Anne Frank House in Buenos Aires, educating for Human Rights and no-discrimination values.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to believe in that thought from Mahatma Ghandi "You have to be the change you want to see in the world"

Anne Frank also inspired me a lot. "Despite everything I still belive in the inner goodness of man"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting locals when I travel, I met wonderful people here I really care about and that had an impact on my life in the long term, so I really appreciate making meaningful connections.

As a local, sometimes I might be more active than others, I live in a very small studio apartment and I have one couch but it's in the same room I sleep, so I'm trying to figure out how could I host someone, as the privacy is almost non existing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been in CS meetings in BA, always funny and nice!
I've also attended a CS meeting in Tel Aviv, Rome, London, Tokyo and Montevideo and met very intresting people there!

Surfed a few times in Uruguay, and Israel and it was AWESOME, I love the uruguayan CS community (if you're going don't hesitate in meeting them!) I'm looking forward to continue expanding my CS experience! :)
I've met with some travalers to have a coffee in Buenos Aires :)

Met with other travelers and locals in Mexico DF, Oaxaca, Bariloche, Tokyo.

Interests

Well, I found intresting so many things! but let's say which ones I'm passionated about:

I love nature, I belive it's perfect and beautiful.
I try to do my best to reduce my negative impact on my enviroment, that maybe called "ecology" or "green movement", whatever. I do my best! And encourage others to learn and make changes too. It's mandatory we all do.

I'm also passionated about social change. I'm an enthusiast with internet, socialmedia and webstuff, I belive it's a revolution in so many aspects!

I'm a graphic designer, so I love all kinds of visual expression! Art, Photo, books, digital art etc.
I love architecture, sociology, psychology and literature, and history.

I love food, specially sweets, and I belive chocolate is my weakness (or my drug maybe)...

I come from the field of visual arts and design; communication, branding and marketing. Always had a very strong commitment to the environment and society so now I'm focusing on sustainable development and social business. Wait and see where's this going to end up ;)

I've been working for a while in bringing awareness about the garbage problems, recycling and also on human rights issues, specially the ones related to the Shoa, and Anne Frank story.
