Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used to live in a shared apartment, and we had several (10 or so) couchsurfers - it was a very positive experience!

Also, the idea of visiting places and hooking up with locals to get a sense of the place is great!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I first couchsurfed (though there was no website yet!) while I was doing a photo-documentary of a modern theatre group in a small fishing village, in the far north of Norway. The experience of following enormously creative people who "locked themselves in" this tiny village (1400 inhabitants), while in the middle of winter (the sun doesn't rise above the horizon)... was amazing, and very inspiring!
