COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've mingled with some CSers in Cape Town - and often meet & travel with random travellers outside of CS. I stay in a quite touristy area so it's almost impossible not to meet interesting people from enticing places regularly.

Interests

Computer Science, Software, Economics, Politics, Complexity Studies, Philosophy, Future Studies. I started a Wireless Internet Service Provider that has several thousand customers and am working on diverse projects in telecommunications, security and entrepreneurship.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've surfed 30ft waves, beaten the cable car running up Table Mountain... and assembled batteries, solar panels and wireless radios on the top of mountains in the rain. I've worked on software projects for 3 days without sleep... not planning on doing that again! And I have tried to talk sense into politicians representing my industry at government talk shops...
