About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Discovering the existence of a large world far away from small Germany.

ABOUT ME

After a foreign year in Montréal I got back to Mainz in Germany to finish my studies. But I have allready plans to live in other countries again. Perhaps Paris? I love french language and culture. But then... I love every language and culture. I can find interest for anything and I want to learn whatever you know.

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone has a deep aspiration for an other world, lets try to uncover it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spend a nice time with my hosts in Seattle and Chicago. But I also participated in CouchSurfing events while not surfing in San Francisco. It's a nice way to get to know interesting people.#

Now that I'm back home I'm looking forward to host someone. (If you're not out there in the world, bring the world home ;-).)

Interests

Music, theater, art, philosophy, politics, literature… any kind of spiritual stimulus.

Music, Movies, and Books

Films: Dancer in the Dark, Grace is gone, Teeth, Hero Turtles, short: I enjoy experimental films, but can also enjoy realy stupid films, especially if associated to my childhood.

Books: Waiting for the Babarians (Coetzee), Hamlet (Shakespeare), Faust (Goethe), Huis Clos (Sartre). I enjoy reading theatre plays.

Music: recently discovered some funny quebecois experimental hip hop: Gatineau. I listened to a lot of metal music for a while. Befor that manly classical music (Schubert). Now it's mixed up. Lets say, from Seputura to Björk to Sugarbabes ;-)
...not to forget: Bert Brecht songs (especially the ones writen by Hans Eisler and sung by Gisela May)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Alhambra in Granada, Spain

I saw the film "Milk" in the Castro Cinema in SF on Harvey Milk day. That was amazing.

And then I swam close to dolphins in Newport Beach.

In Chicago I spend one day with the gay rights photographer Jerry Pritkin after meeting him at his exposition on San Francisco in the 70th.

Teach, Learn, Share

Good knowledge in sociological methodology, epistemology, marxist theory, changements in actual capitalism, in working conditions, especially in Germany, German culture.
Basic knowledge in playing guitar, bas, drumms

My deepest sinn is that I want to know everything ;-)
