About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Helping anyway I can.
ABOUT ME
My name is Irak, I was born here in Tijuana, 23 yo. Currently I'm working as a fundraiser for the Musical Arts Foundation, that funds a Musical Arts School, Baja Californias Orchestra and a Community Orchestras for Kids in Tijuana (Based on "El sistema" from Venezuela). I love to travel (that's why I'm here), to dance, to sing (I'm bad at it), to eat, to drink and specially to share a big part of my culture with every traveler I find here or other cities. I'm a nice guy, always smilling and talking and I'm pretty chill.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't judge.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I try to host as much as I can. Right now it's a bit hard because I work from monday to friday, but we can always arrange something.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It's been a great journey, I've met the most interesting people through here. I've travelled around and every single experience it's quite different from the others, I know I'll stick for a while in here.
Interests
I have a very wide pallet of interests, but I know I love music, every expression of art (film, photography, paint, dance). I can't ignore I'm a huge fan of Musical thatre and movies. I love working with human rights social movements (LGBTQ, Women, Gender, Deafs, etc.) that's why I work in the non-profit sector. And well I'm interested in getting to know people and different cultures, it's just amazing how many different ones (cultures) are in just one world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I can go pretty much everyway, from Chick-flicks to documentaries. Just depends on what I'm looking for. If I want to laugh I'll look for comedy, you know, depends.
Music: Pretty much the same, I can go from Pop to experimental, I just like to "Shuffle" the music in my iPod and I go from there; Salsa, electronic, indie, pop, rock, alternative... You name it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well every single day, there's always something amazing to do and to see. Just it's hard to put it in words.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've always like to share the real spirit of my city, culture and myself. It's hard for my guests not to be scared of the city at firs, we've been attacked on the media for a long time and it's natural for them to be scared, at the end, I know they leave happy and in peace.
