ABOUT ME

I grew up in the Pine Barrens in New Jersey, USA, which best can be described as a backwoods area near two of the US's largest metropolitan areas. Not really a mecca of culture, but it did foster my first career as an environmental scientist and love for the outdoors. I studied environmental geology and music at university. Through working various science jobs I determined that a more varied routine was for me, so I hacked it as a full-time musician and teacher for a while. I decided I need something more hands-on and just finished school for acupuncture and Chinese medicine! It is a good fit for me!

The other crazy thing about me you might find interesting is that I moved into an RV in order to save money for travel. It's cool to have a mobile lifestyle and really is letting me figure out what is necessary in life and what's not. Last year I used savings for international travel, but I've gotten a few short trips camping in the van as well.

Now I'm finished school and travelling as long and as far as I can until I decide I'm done or come up with some other crazy scheme for living life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted people in LA. Crashed couches (some thru CS some not) in US, Central America, Canada, Europe.

兴趣

Travel, obviously! I also love music of the Balkans, Turkey, and Eastern Europe in general. I spent a couple years learning trubaci (think Boban Markovic) before learning other styles on my trumpet. Getting into long-distance hiking (thru hiking the Appalachian Trail this year)

People have actually paid me to cook before so I'm probably not too bad at that. I can whip up something in most any situation for you.

I'm also a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist but of course that depends on the rules of your country officially...

Always down for a jam of eastern style music though I'm not really into jazz per se.
