ABOUT ME

I'm working in a small theatre as a public relations person. I write short stories about teenage girls.

I have worked previoulsy as a scriptwriter for Latvian soap opera, as a photography teacher for 10 year olds, as an extra in a documentary about Titanic, and as an angry book critic. I love to make silly stuff up.

Hosting, surfing, checking random profiles and thinking about all the places I could go and all the amazing people I could meet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Sometimes it can get sad, because you meet people you just don't want to let go :) Otherwise it's awesome.

Interests

Talking loudly and dancing with myself. Social networks. The usual stuff - movies, tv shows, books. Being goofy. Spending as little money as possible. Trying something for the first time.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: pretty much everything from Bach to Lady Gaga. Movies: it's really hard to choose. Some of the last films I watched and loved include: Ghost World, The Skin I Live In, American Movie, Shame, The Reader, Audrey Hepbern's stuff.TV shows: Girls, Flight Of The Conchords, Friends etc. Books: Shakespeare, M. Atwood, J. Irwing, T. Capote, S. King, F. M. Dostoevsky, J. D. Salinger etc. AND Harry Potter books of course.

I'm learning to play ukulele, so any tips on this are highly appreciated.

I can take you on a tour of the area I live in - Maskachka (or Maskavas forštate). It's sort of a ghetto very near the center, and it's pretty cool actually. I know some nice places in Riga and nearby.
