About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I live for adventure and sway towards the unique. It's the only reason I exist.

ABOUT ME

I'm one of those adventuring types. Adventure is my form of religion.

PHILOSOPHY

The Filipinos say "Bahala na," which means, loosely translated, "Whatever happens, happens." You end up adjusting to whatever life throws at you. I believe that as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I mostly just like to offer up a place to stay when someone is in the area. I like people and want them to find comfort in the place I call home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Everyone's been very kind and pleasant and good. I so enjoy meeting people from other lands and places, picking up pieces of history and maybe a few new words I've never heard or said before.

Interests

Music, vinyl records, writing, poetry, mountains, running, walking, the gym, tacos, other countries, vacation, wanderlusting, armadillos.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a documentary nut: Genghis Blues is on of my favorites. As for music, live jazz makes me happy. I collect a lot of vinyl, also. Books? Give me a good memoir or biography and I'll dig through that. David Sedaris makes me laugh like no other.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming with a dolphin. Running a half marathon in the desert of Southern Utah. Reading poetry with two-time poet laureate Billy Collins. Published my own collection of poetry.

Teach, Learn, Share

Those who like to see things that aren't Disney World. (I get that's why a lot of people come here, but it's just not a place I frequent. It's expensive and crowded.)

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, China, Indonesia, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Panama, Philippines, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Philippines, United States
