I am a junior in the Architectural Engineering program at Kansas State University. I have an awesome family of two parents, two brothers, and a doggie.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The Rotaract Club at my school had a student give a presentation about a journey from Kansas all the way down to Columbia... on a bicycle. Along the way when he wasn't camping, he was couch surfing; he met new people and was shown hospitality and local spunk that couldn't have been achieved any other way.

I knew immediately that I needed to be a part of this.

Music, Movies, and Books

Tom Petty and Tom Sawyer are my heroes, loves, and obsessions. My favorite genre of music is folk/americana but appreciate almost all music. My favorite authors are Mark Twain, John Steinbeck, and Edward Abbey.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My friend and I hopped over to Austria to visit a friend and her family members and while we were there, I had the opportunity to jump 193 meters off the Europabrucke bridge in Innsbruck with just bungee chords attached to my ankles. It was invigorating and terrifying, and when we got back to the house, our host treated us with delicious homemade apple strudel.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love music; listening to it, learning it, playing it, feeling it... and relish jamming with fellow musicians or teaching eager fingers. I play guitar, saxophone, banjo, and attempt harmonica from time to time.
