About Me

Hey, guys !

I'm Daisy, 24 years old and I'm from Belgium. I'm a student in a translation school in Brussels. I have been traveling quite a lot in the past few years and I'd like to discover new places and meet interesting people. I've been living for one year and a half in Tianjin, China, and for 4 months in Guelph, Canada.

I'm currently living in Brussels, but sadly, I don't have space to welcome anybody for now. I'm probably going to move in another flat in January 2016. I'll keep you updated !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to travel the world and the seven seas. I love meeting locals and that's why I think couchsurfing would be a great experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

- A few bands? The Doors, Pink Floyd, Queen, Explosions in the Sky, Caspian, Radiohead, The Cure, ... Well, it actually depends on my mood.
- Movies? He Died with a Felafel in his Hand, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Donnie Darko, A Clockwork Orange, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Everything Is Illuminated, ...
- Books? I am going to list a few writers more than a few books... : Baudelaire, Ryu Murakami, Samuel Beckett, Neil Gaiman, Boris Vian, ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oh well, "amazing" sounds weird and somehow arrogant to me. I'd rather say that one thing I'm proud of is everything that I've learned and everything that I've become when traveling around the world. I'm proud I made the choice of leaving Belgium to go live in China for one year. I've met a lot of amazing people (and "amazing" sounds a bit weak in this context), I've seen a lot of places but, the most important part of all that is that I've matured and I got to know myself. When you're on the other side of the world, by yourself, there is no more escape and the masks crumble...

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't quite know what to put here, to be honest?
