My name is Daisy and I have recently finished my second year at University studying Spanish. My third year will be abroad and I have been fortunate enough to be accepted on a course to be a English language teaching assistant at the University of Rosario in Bogotá, Colombia. I currently work as a waitress and musician (I play the guitar and sing) and I also enjoy love to travel and meet new people.

I will be moving to Bogotá at the end of July as part of my Spanish degree (year abroad) - looking for somewhere to stay for the first week or so to get settled into the city of Bogotá before I decide to rent a flat for the year. I would love to be shown around and given some advice on the best place to live. I will be teaching English at the University of Rosario.

Voy a buscar un lugar para quedarse durante una semana el 28 de Julio (mas o menos) porque me mudo a la ciudad durante un año como parte de mis estudios en Inglaterra (estudio Español en la ciudad de Leeds y este año será una parte de mi curso donde trabajará en la Universidad de Rosario como un auxiliar de idiomas. I love listening to and play all genres of music, I work in bars and restaurants as a musician but also occasionally busk! I have always played netball from a young age and generally like to keep active. I love going out over staying in any night of the week.

Entre mis aficiones están escuchar y tocar muchos tipos distintos de música. Me gusta mantenerme activa y desde pequeño siempre he jugado netball. Me encanta una fiesta y los festivales de verano.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

My netball team and I visited South Africa on a tour and visited an orphanage where we brought the children clothes, food & toys - we also spent the day with them all playing games etc. We had also raised money back in England for the institution to help improve their facilities which we gave them on our visit. I know it's not much in comparison to what many people do but nonetheless it was a very fulfilling and heart-warming experience and I wish we could have stayed longer, the children were just adorable.

Visitamos un orfanato en Sudáfrica con mi equipo de netball, recaudamos fondos para nuevas facilidades. Pasamos el día jugando con los niños, dándoles de comer y haciendo manualidades artísticas con ellos. También les conseguimos ropa y juguetes nuevos. Fue una experiencia conmovedora y algún día espero volver.

From Sep 2016 I will be back living in Leeds, England, to finish my final year of University. Arrangements aren't set in stone but I will most likely be in a house share and can offer a couch or potential spare room in the city centre. I would describe myself as friendly and personable and more than happy to accomodate someone who needs a place to stay if they are visiting Leeds. It isn't as touristic or interesting as other cities in England but I would still say well worth a visit and it is only an hour away from Manchester and two hours away from London on a train.
