About Me

I'm a pretty easygoing person and am open to trying anything really! School is a gloomy time so as soon as the summer hits, I try to to get out of the country and travel a bit/visit family back in the motherland. I went on AIESEC exchange last summer to central Europe (lovely!) and that gave me my first taste of travelling on my own. Met some great people I never would've had I just hung around at home and stared into space O:

I made an account in the summer of 2018 after a friend mentioning it but only now just started really looking into how everything works!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My reasons are probably the same as most couchsurfers! To meet new/interesting people and experience different cultures/languages (: The people you meet along the way make your travels much more meaningful, I think!

In Toronto, I live with my parents and commute to class (this saves me a lot of money because renting downtown is obscenely expensive) so I unfortunately am unable to host but am open to meeting up wherever/giving some advice! That's all I can do at the moment until I get a place of my own ):

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC >>
Anything that catches my ear! I usually like anything rock/blues/jazz. I also played piano for quite a few years and enjoy classical/romantic era pieces (: Some artists that come to mind arrrre: Southern All Stars, Queen, Pink Martini, Bigbang, Arctic monkeys!

MOVIES/TV >>
I really like comedies because they're just easy to watch and enjoyable (Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Friends, 40 Year Old Virgin, etc) but the critically acclaimed are always noice and I love animation movies too!

BOOKS >>
I wish I was more of an intellectual but I usually just read contemporary novels (graphic novels too!). Ones that come to mind are: City of Thieves, Scott Pilgrim, Sandman, Ranma 1/2, History of Love, MAUS, Norwegian Wood

Teach, Learn, Share

Not the best at school but I always enjoy learning and sharing my thoughts on everything and anything!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Exchange of experiences/cultures/languages is always cool! I can cook some basic Chinese dishes (': I'll also be in China for a bit before I travel Italy a little this (2019) June so if we get in touch early enough I can bring some interesting snacks/trinkets too (:
