Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see as much as I possibly can and be open to everything life throws at me
ABOUT ME
I like to live from one adventure to the next.
I like to get an even balance between city and country.
I love going for long hikes in any sort of wilderness, and I do yoga instead of xanax.
There is nothing better than piling into my crappy little car, picking a direction, and driving for as long as is possible.
I live life with an exorbitant amount of whimsy and childlike wonder.
PHILOSOPHY
When you're sad or upset or feeling malaise in any way, please, just remember to have some childlike wonder and be amazed at the beauty of life for a while. Listen to some music, find a bit of nature, pet your dog, whatever. You'll find that when you take a moment to DECIDE not to let it get you down, it's easier to overcome.
As apposed to planning everything, it's more fun to treat life like a series of impulses.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I attended a meetup in Boston with some hosteling buddies and got really excited about the community.
I stayed with some lovely folks in NYC, and would love to pay it forward.
I am still settling into my new place, but I'm totally open to showing people around til then.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Only one? I refuse. I'll list a few and you can pick your favourite. Nebraska sunrises, finding out my waitress was my third cousin in a random diner in Iowa, rush hour traffic in the heart of Toronto, driving through the Peaks of the White mountains of New Hampshire at sunset, walking the Freedom Trail in Boston with two complete strangers, hugging the largest, densest tree in the world in California, hugging Penn and Teller in Las Vegas, sitting on a fire escape and watching fireworks in Amsterdam, hosting amazing friends from Europe and painting on our basement walls.
Teach, Learn, Share
Try to see the innocence in things, and don't let yourself think that the world's purpose is to make your life difficult. It is vital to be open and accepting of everything that might come, in order to adjust to the hard things. It makes life so much easier if you don't get upset about the little things. Have empathy for yourself and others.
