About Me
I live in a one bedroom apartment in upper Manhattan with a couch that can turn into a twin size bed. I also have a queens size bed in case I have more than 1 guests, they can take the bed, and I dont mind sleeping on the couch. I am willing to share this apartment to someone that I feel safe to trust and possibly make a few friends who likes to travel just as much as I do.
Few things you should know before writing me a request (please don't send me a message):
- I prefer hosting for a longer stay, this allows me to get to know you better;
- I like to plan 2- 3 weeks ahead ( I don't know what I will be doing next month);
- if I denied your request without a reason it usually is because I think you are copy and pasting your request to every host. Read each of our profiles and write with your heart; and
- do not send me a request if it is for more than 2 people, I just CAN'T!
your chance of getting my attention increases when:
1. You relate things in my profile to yourself
2. You have a diverse background
3. You have an established profile/ hosting experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was a couch-surfer twice, first time was in Washington DC, second time was in San Francisco. My intention was like some of the couch-surfers on here: just to find a place to stay. Later on, I found that I was completely wrong: couchsurfing is more about exchanging life experiences and cultural exchange.
Thankfully my two hosts changed my impression to this website and turn these two trips into two very memorial experiences. To me, travelling is more about who, than where. I would love to give back, and show how grateful I am to these two hosts, and so I decided to become a host.
Please understand that I am a single girl living alone, so I don't feel completely safe to have strangers over, but if you can spend some time to write to me and tell me more about yourself, I am sure I can give this a try (as long as you are going to keep my place clean!)
Ive become friends with both hosts and we've hung out/ traveled together later on. (If you see my profile, you know I am talking about you ;))

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Done a cross country road trip in 2013 (this is how I got to know about couchsurfing). Managed to do a 40-days-NY-to-San-Diego-back-to-NY road trip on a limited budget thats too low that you cannot believe. (guess accounting is just in my blood ;) ) I would like to share more with you if you are interested.
