HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just finished a cross country trip from the East coast. Settling into Portland now and looking forward to meeting some people. Unfortunately I am unable to host at the moment, but can do meet ups!

Well, since there is a plethora of movies, music, and books that I enjoy I will have to choose a sample of my three faves:

Movie: Breakfast at Tiffany's, A Clockwork Orange, Rushmore, Easy Rider, Fight Club, V for Vendetta, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Music: rock, reggae, ska, punk, folk
Book: The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, A Confederacy of Dunces, Arthur Rimbaud (poet), Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While I have had so many amazing travel experiences, I have to say that my road trip across the US has certainly ranked as one of the most inspiring, both on an existential and an aesthetic level. To feel and experience the beauty of the road itself (two lane state roads, not interstates) have been some of the most transcendental moments in my lifetime.

I know that once you stop trying to be the person that everyone else wants (or expects) you to be, you will truly find peace with yourself.

I enjoy conversing and getting to know my hosts. I will also cook for them if they are open to vegan food!
