Hellooooo lovely humans!
My name is Daisy, I'm 25 years old and a student in Glasgow Botanic Gardens. I'm currently studying horticulture, I love rollerskating and bees.
My flat-mates name is Jenny, shes 20 years old and studying social work. She loves cats, rock and chai tea! She speaks Spanish and would love us to host Spanish speakers so she can keep learning/speaking it!
We live in the Maryhill area of Glasgow and would be able to host people so long as it doesn't conflict with our exam timetables.
We are both pretty chill humans, we live with kindness and empathy. Jenny lived in Spain for 9 months and I've only ever lived in Scotland.
We are open to 1 or 2 people coming at a time, there are no pets permitted in our flat and the flat isn't really child-proof!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have (so far) only ever been a host for lovely humans and I adore the ability to allow people to come and visit the lovely, remote Shetland Islands..
2019 - I now live in Glasgow and have an apartment available again with my flatmate. We love people and hearing about their life journeys, their travels and their ways of life!

Music, Movies, and Books

It completely varies when it comes to music. I'll list a few that I listen to far too often. Bob Dylan, mumford & sons, breaking benjamin, ludwig van beethoven, rise against, the beatles, chew lips, pink floyd, Piotr Illich Tchaikovsky
Books.. There are hundreds. As a child I loved goosebumps and also Jacqueline Wilsons books. Now I'm older I delve into the dystopia titles, they're my favorite. Stephen King is my favorite author, I adore him and plan on getting tattoos to show my adoration.
I am quite picky with my books, if they have crap literature and weak storylines I will not like them. Stephenie Meyers, E.L James you are a disappointment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One that springs to mind is in the middle of Summer in York, it starting down-pouring to no avail. The lightening went on for a few hours. I love thunderstorms more than I should. - Daisy

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not really one mind for one level of intelligence. I like to learn about everything and anything. I love philosophy and have FAR too many eccentric theories on life as we know it. I also love seeing 'extreme' sports such as base-jumping and solo free-climbing. I haven't done anything of the sort, I am far too intrigued by the acts of doing so however.
Animals have been the most stable part of my life since the age of 3 and I've helped look after a whole variety of animals, going from hedgehogs to bearded dragons to horses. I've got quite a good bit of knowledge on that.
