ABOUT ME

(MEEP MEEP!: I am ready and even want to show you around the town even in the rare case that I can't accommodate you!) I like being happy. And I'm somehow addicted to helping people. And giving them maps. I also like squats and am a happy little hitchhiker. Add bicycles, computers and several weird hobbies and you've got me :)

PHILOSOPHY

I like being happy. This includes a lot of stuff, such as appreciating trust, wanting to be friendly, etc. I do not believe in being really able to write everything in such a small form, but, me being quite extrovert, you will quite quickly figure out what I am as a person. And, my references seem to tell quite a bit :)

Hosting people whenever living somewhere where that's possible, being very social and travelling here and there, visiting HC and CS people :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

On couchsurfing itself I have relatively little experience, because I started using CS only a shortish time ago. I have a lot more references (or, comments, that is) on HC, where I have been hosting and "surfing" since 2004. Music, Movies, and Books

I don't know much about movies, but I do like them. I don't have a television and I grew up in Finland, where movie theaters are quite expensive. Anyway, I did like Memento. And stuff by the Kaurismäki brothers or Almodovar. And in general, I like almost anything surreal. Books.. I really enjoy reading, but I do not like spending time to read something. And then music. When it comes to music, I am very omnivorous. Reggae, trance, classical, rock'n'roll, ska, finnrock, electropop, dub, computer game music between 70's and 90's, metal, folk music, arabic pop. I'm not a fan of music where you hear dollars instead of melody and the closer electronic music gets to drum'n'base, the less I tend to like it. But beside that, I like it all :) (and sometimes I do like listening to some Spice Girls, shame on me.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oh, I have never seen anything amazing, I like having it boring. Nah. Life itself is a frigging amazing thing :)

(I did hitchhike to from Europe to India via China, though. Maybe that one counts?)

Teach, Learn, Share

People often say that I am a good teacher. I am happy to teach you any skills that I have. That includes this certain spontaneousity of mine, some basic stuff about computers (including how to break them) and saying that you are an apple. Also, I can tell you how to travel the world for 3 € per day.
