Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Biking cross-country from Washington to Maine with my wife Chelsea.
ABOUT ME
Random in a structured way. I like physical activity of pretty much any sort but gravitate toward careening around on a mountain bike.
Prefer my bike to a car and a train to a plane. Love to make others laugh but can be serious 10% of the time if absolutely necessary. After six years of hard effort, I built a business that allows us the luxury to travel and explore the world while I work remotely.
PHILOSOPHY
Help others first... Be smart, be nice, do what you love and HAVE FUN!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Spectacular Las Fallas in Valencia amidst the roar and confusion of fireworks and late-night Spanish flamenco; raiding the Berlin Wall from the home base Johannes provided is another topper; getting stranded between bridges at 3am in St. Petersburg during the White Nights. Second keyword: climb
Interests
Meeting eclectic people who don't feel threatening. Reading books about the way the world works. Exercising until my muscles and lungs burn. Challenging my mind and body. Foreign travel for no other reason than because it isn't home. Mountain biking in the middle of nowhere. Creating businesses that help the world.

Watching a glint of sunrise on Hua Shan in China with my wife Chelsea...listening to cataclysmic rain pour down in the jungles of Borneo - and then cresting the top of Mt. Kinabalu a few days later...playing chess on the swaying Trans-Siberian railroad with my brother Finn...arm wrestling drunk Burmese guys after an afternoon of play with their children...walking a quiet apple orchard in the shadow of Mt. Hood on a crisp autumn day...pulling through a tough climb in Yosemite or Canada, muscles screaming and head hot from the sun. Riding pine to palms on a long mountain bike odyssey near Palm Springs.
