About Me

I like to explore and see new places, try new wines and beers, eat all of the food. I feel like I am just the typical average guy... so, I am not too good at "about me" sections. If you love to laugh then we will probably get along.

At home I tend to just read or watch Netflix. For some reason I have started to really enjoy long walks without any real purpose. I am not a man of words and my mouth can't move as fast as my brain sometime and I can be a little clumsy and awkward.. but that's why my friends love me (so they say).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet people and hear their stories, as well as share my own. It's a wonderful community that has grown and evolved overtime and has made for some really enlightening experiences.

Interests

I have interests in food, music, languages, art, architecture and so many things. I love anything that lets me learn or laugh. I have recently had an uber interest in film and cinematography and have been going to the local theater run by grad students quite a lot recently.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is a long list that covers many genres and generations! Lately, I have been trying to read more French literature, and that's going well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I gave a presentation at the Korean Parliament over their birth rate issues. That isn't the amazing part though... I couldn't find parking after I was inside of the secured parliamentary area and was driving around in literal circles... Well, that caught the attention of the police who nearly arrested me and forced me to leave (because how do I even begin to explain what I am doing with my minimal Korean). When I came back (by foot) the same police who kicked me out was checking my ID and questioned me a lot. After calling my colleague (nice Korean man) the guard was super apologetic and even gave me some snacks. I call that a win.

Teach, Learn, Share

Don't sweat the small stuff.

What I Can Share with Hosts

At the least, a nice place to sleep. Plus my city and my great smile and charismatic personality... totally joking. I am a ball of awkward. I will show you around though :).
