Overview
About Me
I'm an artist, and I delight in little wonders. Adventure is something I find every day in new ways. I love meeting interesting people and I am good at finding the balance between socializing and respecting space.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Keeping a low budget opens up opportunities for more travel, and makes you get creative and step out of your comfort zone. Couch surfing is an amazing way to connect with locals and have a real experience. I've wwoofed before and loved the glimpses into other's lives and homes, and it is an honor to be a guest and rely on the kindness of others.
Interests
I love to learn about new places. I find the best part of visiting somewhere new is not the touristy parts but the real places, with real people. The daily lives and experiences of locals are what create a community and dipping into that life is what I love about travel.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Alabama Shakes, blues roots music. Books: anything by Terry Pratchett. Movies: Wes Anderson type art films (now taking suggestions for beautiful art films made by not white straight cis men!)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I licked a glacier.
Teach, Learn, Share
I renovated a van into a camper in NZ and could teach you some things about self contained living. I can teach you anything art related, practice singing with you, rant about feminism and social justice, and make you a good vegetarian curry. I would love to learn anything related to music, dance, or something obscure that you are an expert on.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A kind listening ear, I'll laugh at your jokes, I'd be happy to cook dinner and do dishes, and hopefully I can return the favor in future if you come to Portland!
