I’ve been living in Phuket for nearly a decade, having retired in 2019 after working here for three years. Before that, I spent 17 years in Singapore and 9 years in Japan. I’m a very frequent traveler, but when I’m home in Phuket I enjoy meeting new and interesting people. I also love staying active, and sharing stories from the road. Life has taught me to value experiences and connections over things, and I try to live with curiosity and gratitude.

In my travels I've met new and interesting people. I had been on Couchsurfing prior to Covid, and hosted several people but that profile (plus reviews, etc.) disappeared somewhere along the way. I thought I'd reactivate it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one? I’ve been fortunate to visit 60 countries, and each has taught me something unique. From a helicopter ride around Mt. Everest to standing at the Pyramids of Egypt, from walking through Auschwitz-Birkenau to going on safari in Botswana, these moments have given me perspective, gratitude, and a deep appreciation for the richness of life’s experiences.
