CURRENT MISSION

I'm being laid off, so I bought an all-you-can-jet pass from JetBlue. I'm gonna fly all around the country in September, checking out grad schools and just seeing the country. It's the best thing that could happen after finding out you're losing your job!

ABOUT ME

I am a queer, transgender woman. I'm an activist and I fight for what's dear to me. From civil rights to sustainability to labor rights to peace activism, I try to help as much as I can.
I believe so much of our ills derive from capitalism, and the opportunity to travel and connect with people and learn their stories is precious, since the consumerist way of traveling (spending lots of money on hotel rooms) acts to isolate and generalize our experience.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I feel awful that I'm losing my job, and what that uncertainty for the future means. But instead of dwelling on it, I decided to buy this all-you-can-fly pass from JetBlue and see the country during the month of September. I hope to gain from the experiences of traveling and meeting new folks, and come to a better understanding of where the road should take me next in life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm brand new to couch surfing! I have hosted and crashed with friends many times, so I welcome doing so and getting to meet new folks by sharing. I love the community spirit of this. I have been a Zipcar member for 8 years, sharing cars instead of owning is so needed in crowded cities. And I live in a co-op house with 13 really amazing folks, where we share cooking, chores, and social times!

Interests

If I'm in a city and I know there is a roller coaster nearby, I will make every effort to get to ride it. Since I was 10 years old I've been a member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts, and I now have been on over 200 roller coasters!
I'm most happiest when playing the drums. I love performing in all styles, from queer punk to jazz combos, orchestral to musicals, to drum circles and hootenanies!
