About Me

Hi! I'm Daley,

I've grown up and lived in Utah my entire life. I keep wanting to move, but can't seem to get myself very far away from the mountains and desert so close by. I love living right by the mountains and everything they have to offer! The views!

I'm a designer and love to collaborate with people in dreaming up ideas, and building out projects. I also love love love going to concerts and dancing like a fool. I think there's something special in discovering new music by live performance.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to explore new places, environments, cultures, and people in a more authentic way. I like meeting new friends, and I think this is a great way to do so while traveling and adventuring.

As a host, I think SLC is highly underrated and I'd love to show you why! I'd like to give back and share the same experiences I've had while staying in new place with new people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One cold autumn day I found myself strapped butt-to-nut to some dude I didn't know in a small frigid airplane. The next thing I knew we were scooting toward a giant hole in the plane 12,500 feet in the air. Imagine a skinny mullet man butt scooting a giant baby strapped to his chest on the floor out of an airplane.
"You ready?" he asks
"Uh-"
And suddenly there's no plane under me and I'm flying through a mf CLOUD. I tried screaming but the only thing coming out of my face were tears, snot, and maybe some spit. It was glorious.
Then BAM, the clouds are gone, my goggles un-fog, and I can see all of vibrant Moab; the desert stripes, winding canyons, my camp spot for the weekend, walls I've climbed, trails I've biked, and the Green & Colorado rivers in all their glory.
About 45 seconds later we land back down to the airport. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE.
"What's your name?" I ask Mullet Man.
"They call me Gravy"
"Oh cool. Uh.. why?"
"Come to the Rio and find out" he says, as he slides on his sick Pit Vipers.
I did not go to the Rio. But thank you Mullet Man for that fall through the sky.
