ABOUT ME

I'm Dale! I'm friendly (though at times a bit shy), cleanly, love to eat food, and am hoping to be a world traveler with your help! I'd love to meet you and help you explore Japan :)

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a pretty laid-back person. I don't get worked up over little things, and I get along with a lot of people. I live for different experiences and for meeting people. I'm still trying to figure my life out but hey, who isn't, right? I'm trying to be the best person I can be every day but of course it's hard. I don't subscribe to a religion, and I'm a straight female from the U.S., but I like to think I am tolerant of all religions, lifestyles, and cultures. Yours may be different but I will work with you as best as I can. :)

Interests

Firstly, I love to eat food...all food (except olives and things that are REALLY spicy), and will try anything once! I also enjoy wandering around unexplored areas, hiking and touring in nature, doing touristy things, going shopping, cooking, and exercising.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love most music! Will give anything a listen but I don't like much rap, screamy rock, or country.

I like most movies and TV shows though I watch more TV than movies.

I love reading books. :) Mostly sci-fi and fantasy novels, but I enjoy memoires, classics, dramas, really anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to snorkel at the Great Barrier Reef...it was amazing. I never thought I'd want to scuba dive but after that I really wanted to try it out.

Teach, Learn, Share

I majored in East Asian Studies so I know (or knew) a lot about Japanese history and society, as well as that of China and Korea. I also would be happy to teach you a bit of Japanese...or learn a bit of your language and culture. I can also cook some Japanese food. I'm a teacher by trade I'd love to help out any way I can :)
