About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be anything but ordinary.

ABOUT ME

I'm currently in medical school in West Vriginia, aspiring to be... To Be Determined. I hope to one day work with Doctors Without Borders (MSF) and help people in need who don't have access to medical care. Before med school I studied Nueroscience at Binghamton University.

I'm fun and easy-going, and spontaneity is my favorite flavor. I'm very easy to talk to and really enjoy an interesting conversation with someone from a different background. I'm weird and quirky and I surround myself with people who make me laugh. I'm an opinionated person but I'm also a good listener and I'm enthusiastic toward learning about other's way of life.

I grew up on a farm in Western NY and starting traveling during college. I want to see big cities, small towns, new cultures, new people.... everything.

PHILOSOPHY

If it scares you, you should probably do it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I want to meet fun, interesting people and open my eyes to other ways of life. I've had some couch surfing experience in Europe and stayed with a couple different hosts in Paris and Italy. I'd like to take a trip across the US at some point and stay with different hosts along the way.

Interests

I love meeting new people and doing new things. I love music of all kinds as well as theater, sports, science, art, and learning about a new culture. I'm a very outdoors type of person and love hiking, camping, and kayaking with my friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Maroon 5, Bastille, Les Mis, Muse, Beyonce, Arctic Monkeys, Adele, Alicia Keys, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Into the Woods, Ellie Goulding, Chopin, Sam Smith, Coldplay, Hozier, Mumford & Sons, City & Colour, Ed Sheeran, Muse...

Unfortunately I rarely have time to read anything enjoyable because I'm always consumed by textbooks for school.

Movies: Jumanji, Jurassic Park, Les Miserables, Lord of the Rings, The Matrix, Phantom of the Opera, 007, Bridesmaids, Donnie Darko...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hiked the highest peak in New York State (Mount Marcy) and I've gone backpacking all across New York state and Pennsylvania. This summer I went on a camping trip to Virginia Beach. I've been to Florida a few times and went parasailing and kayaking. I love camping because I can escape the materialistic world and just focus on living and being with the people who matter the most. I recently went to a Beyonce concert and died and came back to earth in one night. I haven't done a lot of big, momentous things, but I get a lot of joy out of just being with my friends and going on random adventures. I don't need to make big plans to have a great time, it's all about living in the moment. I want to do a lot more traveling in the near future, in and out of the US.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a premedical student and really enjoy learning/conversing about cutting edge research in the biomedical field.

Music is my true passion. I'm a seasoned pianist and have studied opera for years as well. My musical tastes are eclectic and there's nothing I get more joy from than just making music with new people.

I love food and eating new things in unique places.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I want to share my zest for life! I'm a young adult with a lot of energy and enthusiasm for discovery.
