Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To study and save head water streams for the benefit of water, algae, the forests, and Trout Fishing in America.
ABOUT ME
I'm a scientist and a cyclist. Currently a caretaker at a historic house (Wyck) in Philly. (There's a chair there that Ben Franklin owned and that Lafayette sat in. Historic folks get all worked up about it.) I'm an amateur cider maker, (that's hard cider folks) and a gleaner of unpicked fruit trees. Currently trying to finagle my way out of the city to some place more rural for graduate school.
PHILOSOPHY
The Perennial Philosophy at least according to Huxley. I believe in hard work and in personal responsibility. I believe we are all deeply interconnected (humans and ecosystems, microbial to macro.)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I used to host couch surfers at a group house in West Philly. I've surfed a little bit in my day. Currently I can't host anyone at Wyck, but I'd be more than happy to give folks passing through a tour of the old-growth rose garden and house. I'm looking to surf when I travel.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met plenty of really nice folks who stayed for a night or week in my old house.
