Hey! I’m gonna be honest, I’m a little new to Couch Surfing, but I am someone who loves to meet new people and travel, so I feel like I’m in the right place.

I’m originally from Phoenix, AZ, but for the last year I’ve been studying acting in Nashville, TN. Film and acting are passions of mine and are what I’m going to continue doing for the rest of my life. I feel like I’ve really grown as a person through acting, and I’ve been able to explore parts of myself that I never realized were a part of me. I’ve also met some of my best friends and have experienced some of the best moments of my life through this passion. It’s also proven to pay bills, which is a cool plus. Film is how I feel I can communicate and express my creativity and dreams. I hope to provide everyone with a way of escaping daily life through the films I work on. Movies are the best way to sit back and relax in my opinion.

Alongside acting, another passion of mine is martial arts. I am trained in taekwondo, having earned my black belt back in 2022. I’ve spent a lot of time practicing and feel as though I’ve gotten pretty good, but I’m far from perfect. There is still a lot to learn and more practice needed. In fact, what I’ve found is that having a black belt doesn’t guarantee you safety or immediately make you a bad ass. But all of that training does provide some self assurance for real world situations and fights. More than that, it gives me peace of mind, a feeling of self discipline and commitment, and happiness. I love martial arts and appreciate the art within it.

I also have a love for swords, specifically katanas and their spiritual significance. Moving to NYC, I already have some Iaido classes lined up in Midtown. It’s not a very practical martial art for real world situations, it’s more for myself, my connection to swords and personal growth and development. I’m really looking forward to working more with the katana.

More than anything, I feel as though my purpose is undefined, and I like it that way. I like that I wake up in the morning with a feeling of needing to create something instead of following the blueprints. My future looks like a book of blank pages, so it’s my job to write the story. So far I am very content with my journey, and I need some more action to change things up. Hence my move to New York. I do feel a strong need to protect the people in my life that I care about. I don’t own a lot because of my love for travel (it makes things easier) so often times the people in my life are most important to me. I would do anything to make sure they’re ok. That is something I want to consider when deciding where I go and what I do.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

At the moment I’m moving to New York in less than a month with a job already set but no place to stay, so I’m hoping to find help temporarily. I also know some people who go to school in the city but I want to make more friends and meet people, and couch surfing seems like a good way to do that. I also simply want to try something new and have fun with this adventure.

I really like psychological thrillers and dramas, mind bending type of stuff

Favorite directors are Sam Esmail and Christopher Nolan

Favorite TV shows include Mr Robot, Smiling Friends, Adventure Time, Entourage (unless I’m forgetting something)

Favorite book at the moment is Green Lights by Matthew Mccoughnahey
