About Me

Living amazing San Diego life. Love music festivals. Latest one was EDC 2016, Always out and about. Looking for new adventures, last minute trips, or just taco Tuesday in mexico. Hitting kickboxing gym right after work, grabbing sushi or tacos or a beer after workout. I usually go with the flow, dont make too many plans, any play as it comes. Cherishing life and living at its best. Super active in sports, have tons of energy everyday. one question everybody ask " How you have so much energy" I don't know. I am just loving it!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am usually hosting my old college friends. everybody is visiting me all the time. I have never hosted anybody on couch surfing before. but i am usually planning trips within in states and crashing at my buddies houses over the weekend. so i wanna try something new. Meet new people from all over the world learn about their culture, and as I love to travel get ideas on planning my next trip out of states. my latest trip was INDIA in Decemeber for 5 weeks. so i want to use my vacation wisely so I can explore more.

Interests

I play lot of sports, really active. I play for San Diego cricket league which is super competitive, drink beer and play kickball or softball depending upon the day. or hit the arcade bar play some Pacman, and drink some beer. or hit my friends house for taco Tuesday nights. Play random card games, hit the beach, play some vollyball or bonfire nights. or random pool parties.

Here are the top ten things I do with my guests when they arrive in San Diego.

Laurel Street. Tom Cruise made this street famous as he chased Kelly McGillis up the road after a verbal spat in the movie Top Gun.

It’s steep climb competes with any street in San Francisco (albeit shorter) and if you turn around, it’s fun to watch the planes come in and land.

Continuing on Laurel, driving over the Laurel Street bridge into Balboa Park is something of an experience for first timers.

The proximity of such cool architecture, museums, and the beauty of the bridge itself makes for a great first impression.
Sea Port Village (and the new Headquarters) Go for a stroll through here and enjoy the views of the harbor and the aircraft carriers on the other side.

The Greek food is phenomenal and makes for a great pit stop along the boardwalk there as you make your way to:
Midway Museum. Whether or not you go through it, you have to stop and see it, along with the “Kissing” Statue.
Ferry to Coronado. This fun experiences let’s you see San Diego from the water and takes you to Coronado at the same time. While on Coronado, check out:
The Hotel Del
The Silver Strand
Loews Coronado Resort
Coronado Brewing Company
Beer. San Diego has an amazing micro brew industry.

Whether you like Karl Strauss, Stone, Ballast Point, or any of the other 100’s of microbrews, I suggest you visit one and enjoy a pint.
Hiking. Whether I take my guests to Torrey Pines or Iron Mountain really depends on their hiking ability.

I like both. The point is, San Diego is an outdoorsy city. We like being outside hiking, surfing, biking, skating, etc.
Point Loma and Cabrillo National Park. Driving here, you are forced to remember what the cost of this beauty is as you drive through Fort Rosecrans Military Cemetery.

Once at the park, take in the views of the city, Mexico, and the foothills in the distance! There are a plethora of things to do here such as:
find WWII military remnants
check out the tidepools
visit the lighthouse
learn about the history of San Diego
Sunsets at the Ocean. I can’t let my guests leave without seeing a pretty sunset. Check it out at any beach and you’ll see an amazing site.

My favorite ocean sunset watching locations are:
Beach north of Hotel Del looking at Point Loma
Torrey Pines State Beach
La Jolla Shores
OB Pier
Wind and Sea
Mexican Food. If you come to San Diego and don’t eat Mexican food, did you really come to San Diego?

Grab a California Burrito, eat some street tacos, and enjoy the festivities.

There’s two options here. Go local and find a whole in the wall with a long line (measurement of it’s awesomeness);

or head to Old Town and eat at Casa De Reyes. The food isn’t as authentic, but the ambience is very fun and inviting.

PLUS, the margarita's are HUGE!
Julian. If we have time, it’s good to leave the hustle and bustle of the city and head out to the mountains.

The quaint little mining town of Julian is known for it’s pies and serves as a reminder of times gone by…

Music, Movies, and Books

house music, happy go music, dance music, bring good vibes kinda music doesn't depend. The beat needs to be popping. Books never got into reading, couldn't find the time. Graduated with the bachelors degree read all the books required.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The list is long the latest one from few weeks ago, went on 22 mile hike at 15505 feet elevation called Mount Whitney with preparation and a mere 2 day notice. Mount Whitney is the highest peak in the 48 states. One of the toughest hike. The spot came open, went with the flow.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am fluent in Hindi and Punjabi the Indian languages. I don't have Indian accent at all but i can mimic it pretty good. I love dancing, i can teach some Bhangra dance moves. or Bolly-wood style.

What I Can Share with Hosts
