CURRENT MISSION
Planning a trip to Nepal!!!!
ABOUT ME
Hi there!
I'm Dorothée, 29 y.o. currently looking for a job in environment, especially related to the prevention of natural hazards such as floods or earthquakes and I'm experienced in this field (but she would love to discover other subject... tornadoes or cyclones!!).
I'm planning a trip to Nepal for the period of the 30th may to the 28th june 2011. The first 15 days I will participate to a workamp in Banepa for the Friendship Foundation Nepal and I will be totally free for the next 15 days for discovering Kathmandu and maybe go the Chitwan park and Pokhara.
I'm a big fan of cinema (know producers and actors by heart), travelling, reading, etc...
I'm also very friendly, quite opened and not judgmental, whatever your religion, gender, or sexual orientation.... so I'm looking for people with the same values! ^^
PHILOSOPHY
Life is short and the world is big, you have to meet all the people you can, see, visit and discover all the things you can.
"Happiness consists in realizing it is all a great strange dream" - Jack Kerouac
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As far as CS is concerned, I'm having only tried twice (in England and in Finland) and it was great beyond all expectations. We try to spread the word among our friends to make people aware there are more interesting ways to travel, and that they should not be afraid of participating.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I already have an experience in couchsurfing : during a trip to London, and spent three days couch surfing. It was nice to meet people who already knew the city and its culture. It's comforting to have tips and informations and talk about with the host about what you've seen, eaten...
So I see couchsurfing as a way to improve my experience in a foreign country, by exchanging with my host about life in his country/city. ^^ I try to be discreet and respect my host life but I would be happy to invite him/her to the restaurant or pub as a thank!
