Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm Damian. I'm from New Zealand, that country right down near Antarctica that boasts a healthy number of sheep and some pretty cool scenery. I'm of Dutch decent, although New Zealand born. I'm very open minded, I love new experiences and I'm always up for a good time. I'm very accommodating of other people and believe that, "What goes around, comes around."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm at that age when your 15 year old self thought I would have it all sorted out, and as such am postponing commitment while I trek around the world and meet more human beings. As my nature requires me to follow a goal, my current plan is to travel by land from South-East Asia through to Europe. I'm new to this but couch surfing would be a great way to meet new people, save some money, practise my lame humour on others and hopefully reciprocate any hospitality in the future should the opportunity arise! I hope that with CS I can build a network of international friends who I will stay in contact with and host when I can in return to New Zealand.
Interests
Other than travel, I enjoy music, specifically on a turntable, racing, adrenaline-chasing and a few drinks on the weekends. I also enjoy writing.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a huge Harry Potter fan. I also read Lee Child. I'm into Anchorman, an Australian movie called 'The Castle' (reeaally dry humur :P) and I love a good mind-bender (I'll happily watch psych thrillers with you and discuss theories for hours afterwards)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've done a lot of what I'd consider amazing things but some of the more recent ones include camping on The Great Wall, singing karaoke in North Korea, visiting Chernobyl, riding a horse in the Mongolian dessert and kayaking through Ha Long Bay :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share in depth NZ knowledge of how to juggle multiple types of meats on a barbeque, my experiences and outlooks on our lovely planet and how to take off your socks and roll them in to a perfect ball without using your hands.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories, New Zealand humour, piggybacks, coffee making skills, English, someone to share multiple plates of food with.
