About Me

I'm currently on a big journey through Latin and South America finishing up in Canada. Its the first time I have left Europe and its fantastic. I have a Visa to live and work in Canada for two years and I plan to move to British Colombia in mid September and then after a year or so move to Montreal. I'm a friendly dude, who likes to keep active, is always up for a good time and loves meeting people of differing backgrounds. Last summer I build a Bar in my back garden with my friend. Many good times were had!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a traveller and I think it is a great way to meet people and get a more realistic experience of a place and how people live there. Hostels are great obviously, but you definitely get a more authentic insight to a culture staying with someone who has grown up or lived for a while in the area.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently sailed from Panama to Cartagena in Colombia going through the San Blas islands. 365 (one for each day of the year) Caribbean islands dotted across the horizon, all you see is the silhouettes of collections of palm trees (all differing in size) in the distance. Most of the islands are uninhabited. It was heaven. On the boat was only a Captain, First Mate and 11 Passengers. To top it all off, one of the couples on board got engaged on one of the islands! Only to later find out the set of islands they were on was called Holandes Cay. They were Dutch! I highly recommend the voyage.
