About Me

I contain multitudes and often change my mind, so I'd rather be factual.

Born in Rome in 1990, I grew up in a somewhat residential area close to the Vatican. So close you can hear their radio broadcasts in the intercom.

Roughly a week before turning 17 I ended up in Germantown, WI for a high-school exchange year. I was first hosted by the family of a pastor, where I got to hear the oddest question concerning the existence of doorbells in "I-taly".
"We do have them dear, and sometimes you can even hear priests giving mass."
I was "invited" out by Thanksgiving, and had to find another family for the rest of the year.

Some time later I moved to Israel, where I spent two amazing years living a dream that didn't come true. It is a place I hold dear for many reasons, and if ever there are divides in life, mine is positioned somewhere round there.

I then moved to the Netherlands to sponsor the local education industry. Three years of economics in Utrecht, where I met most of those I can now proudly call friends, and now six months of information management in Maastricht, with one more year to go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy traveling and making new connections, and I believe some things are just better when shared.

Interests

I read a lot, in stints. I also enjoy food and its preparation (one reinforces the other). Art and architecture are also something I actively seek, be it in the form of expositions, sightseeing, or simply a scribble or building that catches my eye.
Sometimes I write poems, but I get destructive as soon as they are finished.
I also like sports. Used to practice fencing for almost 10 years, but the biggest passion remains football.
Other than that, I'm well-versed in history, IT, and a number of other, sometimes random subjects.

No limits to learning. I can share my travel experiences, as well as tips for the city.

As for teaching, I really enjoy cooking so we could share some recipes, and I could teach you how to make some mean pasta!
