Hello! I'm Damien, a 22 year old Canadian currently traveling around Europe. I am in the middle of a gap year I'm taking between graduating from university and starting work next fall, and I'm using it as an opportunity to explore the world and meet lots of great people. Among those people were a few couchsurfers who convinced me to get on the platform so I'm excited to be here!

I'm a flexible person and I usually don't plan things too much in advance, so I'm always up to try something new, and not necessarily do the touristy things. I also like to have conversations about different topics and learn new stuff, especially about how life is in the places I'm visiting or meeting people from.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have met couchsurfers while traveling and they have convinced me that I should try it. The thing I'm most excited about is to meet people who actually live in the places I'm visiting, not just fellow travelers like I do at hostels for example.
