ABOUT ME

Hi there I'm Damien, 25. I'm French. I grew up in the South of France but I studied in Lyon, my favourite city in the world :) I've also lived 2 years in the UK, in Hertfordshire. The first year I was an au-pair, where I took care of 3 young boys. It was an amazing experience, one of the best years of my life so far. I got to meet loads of people and experience a differente culture. Then I studied english literature for 3 years and after my degree I went back to England as a French Assistance this time so basically, I taught kids how to speak the language and helped them prepare for their A-Levels and GCSE exams. It was also an amazing experience.
Now my next destination is Berlin where I've already met amazing people after a couple of days, and I'm hoping to meet others from all around the world soon!

Interests

I love languages, I'm fluent in English and my german isn't that great but I'm really ambitious and I hope I'll be better by the end of my stay! I also like music: I'm more into indie music, folk, alternative rock, trip hop, but also classical music etc and whatever you're going to make me listen to :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Moon Palace, The Catcher in the Rye, The Portrait of Dorian Gray, The Big Money, Germinal, all of Boris Vian work etc.

Music I like indie, classical, hip hop, folk, trip hop, pretty much anything :)

I like english cinema: all the Guy Ritchie movies, but also others - when of my favourite films is This is England, about nationalism during the Thatcher period in the UK. Billy Elliot is an amazing film too. I also enjoy a good blockbuster every now and then and my friends and I sometimes spend afternoons watching 1990s action movies for a laugh.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen a goat yell like a man. I don't need much to be amazed.

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess the main thing I could share with people is languages. I could teach them to speak french or english.
