ABOUT ME

I'm a spiritual nomad at heart, leading myself through the adventure of life, and what a beautiful life it has been! I lived in 30 homes and went to 11 different schools before I finally made it to the University of South Alabama. I studied English and competed in the athletic program as a Track & Field distant runner & steeple chaser. After college I traveled the U.S.
In the past few years I traveled to Europe, Africa, and Asia:

PHILOSOPHY

Everything is connected with a central spirit, take care of that spirit. Live with purpose in your own heart, while still accepting the pulse of the Earth. Yearn for an understanding of love and practice it everyday.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In the past, I surfed in Austin, Texas and I hosted a couch surfer in my Austin, Texas apartment during South by South West (SXSW). I traveled through Europe surfing and HelpXing. In the future I look forward to hosting/ being hosted by all types of interesting people from all over!

Music, Movies, and Books

To be honest I don't find myself watching too many movies or reading too many books, but a few recent things I have enjoyed are 'Lucy' 'Boyhood' 'Holy Bible' 'Krishna Consciousness' 'Hatha Yoga - Philosophy of physical well being' "Youth without youth (Book then Movie)"
A recent read that really moved me was Just Kids by Patti Smith.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to Alaska to visit my father while he stayed and renovated a cabin for a friend before the winter. I came after he had renovated and stayed in a room during the -40 degrees Fahrenheit winter weather.
I was out walking at night through the snow alone, meditating and contemplating when suddenly a moose crept out of the woods in front of me breathing in my face (literally less than five feet from where I stood). I froze stiff and stopped breathing, within seconds I realized I needed to move quick and began to slowly take steps backwards without moving the rest of my body watching the moose breathe in front of me stiff like a basketball goal. When I made it about ten feet I turned around and ran as fast as I could in the thick snow and didn't stop until I found a safe haven. I sat nearby on a hill and observed the moose come forth out of the woods with a calf following (the calf was bigger than me) the mother watched the calf cross the street and then continued to lead it through to the woods on the other side. So beautiful!

Teach, Learn, Share

My experiences have made me who I am. I can offer a quiet laid-back and respectful energy. I can offer positivity and love into your life! I enjoy helping people, so I can also offer to cook a meal, wash dishes, chores around the house. I would like to make music with as many people that are willing to with me.

If you can feel it, it is real. Trust your heart, give praise to the Almighty.
