ABOUT ME

Hi there! I'm an Australian with the travel bug. I've been working in East Asia for the last 5 years as an English teacher and have had many wonderful experiences here, learned Mandarin and explored many stunning places (Yangshuo and Jiuzhaigou stood out as particularly lovely).

I enjoy teaching because it feels meaningful, and especially liked my last job teaching businesspeople. I learned a lot talking to people from different industries who have different life experiences to share.

I'm now travelling through Latin America, where I did an exchange when I was younger. It's great to escape the daily grind, tick some things off the bucket list and figure out what I want for the next chapter of my life.

It's the people who make the places.

Interests

The thing I enjoy most is learning, be it new languages, cultures or perspectives on life. I love connecting with people. Two other big interests are photography and going on adventures.

I like many sports, but my enthusiasm rarely matches my ability.

I've watched dawn break over the Sahara.

I've volunteered at a Missionaries of Charity hospice in Kolkata.

I've swum with whale sharks in the Philippines.

I've travelled from Kenya to South Africa using public transport.
