Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
trying to rediscover the world from the eyes of my little daughter - or maybe unlearn altogether what i've been learnt
ABOUT ME
well, i moved to Brussels two years ago for studies and ended up falling for the city, for the alternative lifestyle and experiment it proposed to me. now i'm living with (more or less) 18 other people in a big house where we are experimenting with the life in community and the alternatives it can propose to the society, getting more and more involved in the squatting movement in BXL, trying to find my place and environment in performing arts scene here (as i've abandoned mine back in İstanbul) and all these aside i'm enjoying the spell that my daughter put on me...
PHILOSOPHY
make it worthy of living (well yes, it implies that it's not worthy of living on its own) and i don't even know what this word "worthy" means, where it came from and how it intervened in my life
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because it makes it more possible for people to travel...
Because it's based on the principle of gratuitousness and hospitality...
Because it is a community that values encounter - with the world, with people...

READING NOW:
Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: An Inquiry into Values - Robert M. Pirsig
"I think that if we are going to reform the world, and make it a better place to live in, the way to do it is not with talk about relationships of a political nature, which are inevitably dualistic, full of subjects and objects and their relationship to one another; or with programs full of things for other people to do. ... The place to improve the world is first in one's own heart and head and hands, and then work outward from there."
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
maybe haven't done something "amazing" but i'm trying to do everything amazingly...
