My favourite book is Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. I've just finished Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment and am currently reading Robert Graves' I, Claudius.

I love rap from the 80s and 90s, Slick Rick and Common. Also jazz, Ella Fitzgerald, blues, Nina Simone and Ali Farka Toure, soul and R&B, Lauryn Hill, and London rap and grime, Kano and Stormzy.

My favourite films are The Godfather I and II, obviously not III. The last film I watched was When Harry Met Sally and a film that really made an impression on me is Sin Nombre directed by Cary Fukunaga, which tells the human story of two young people attempting to enter the United States illegally.
