Our mission is to teach and travel the world together, experience new cultures and meet wonderful people!

ABOUT ME

We are a married couple. Both born in Ontario, Canada. We lived in British Columbia, Canada together for 6 years. After we finished with university, we decided we would like to see some of the world while teaching. We have taught in South Korea, Dalian-China and Beijing-China for the last 5 years. We are fortunate to have been able to travel to quite a bit of China and SE Asia. We are living near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where we hope to have more CS hosting opportunities.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have stayed with many wonderful and generous hosts over the past few years while traveling. Unfortunately we were unable to host in China(only times we were contacted is when we were gone on vacation, so it didn't work out well for us there). However, now that we are 20 min from Kuala Lumpur, we are ready to host as much as we can!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had the opportunity to stay with extended family in India as well as couch surf in Morocco and throughout Europe.

The spirit of Couchsurfing is so amazing, and the open-mindedness of our hosts and other surfers we have met is so refreshing. We have had great experiences with everyone we have stayed with and met, and we know we are just getting started with this project.

We love all kinds of movies and music. No time to read books though (but we usually try on vacation)!

We have camped at the bottom of the Grand Canyon; climbed many mountains (OK, not big huge mountains, but still), a glacier, and some volcanoes. We have seen the Colosseum in Rome, the Acropolis in Athens, the Taj Mahal and Red Fort in India, the Pyramids in Egypt, and camped on the Great Wall of China; we have eaten in the markets of Marrakech, tasted amazing wine in France, Italy, and Greece (among others), and taken panoramic trains through the Alps. We have toured kitchens in Ireland, camped in Amsterdam, and drank delicious beers from Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, and Belgium. We have shared smiles with the amazing people in Sri Lanka, taken packed buses, boats, tuk-tuks, and trains around SE Asia, seen orangutans up close in Borneo, walked the streets of Kuala Lumpur, and relaxed on the beaches of Thailand with great friends.
