About Me

Some of the things I enjoy include making cool stuff with my hands, researching/working around the importance of the disciplines of love, being a citizen photographer, OR imagining ways to incubate new community, groups, companies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Folk from around the world have welcomed me into their homes and lives and journeys. I try to surrender to do the same.

Interests

I have MANY interests, for example photography.

Here and for the past 15 years, I’ve used the camera to better understand the ways in which humans reveal the depths of being. For me, photography is a form of active listening in relationship and core to a learner’s mind that sees beauty and possibility. Through image, we can create safe environments in which we dialogue and digest content and emotion, or surface roots of problems and conflict, or even innovate ideas and choices.

Music, Movies, and Books

Ummm, where to start.

As I write this, I'm listening to James Blake's new album.

Earlier today I recommended to a friend that he see The English Patient, one of my faves.

I'm revisiting the groundbreaking book "The Developing Mind" while reading Flaubert's Madame Bouvery. I recently finished Martin Amis' "The Zone of Interest" and Graham Greenes' "The Power and the Glory."

Yeah, yeah, I dig TV, too. Game of Thrones, Black Sail, Wolf Hall and Vikings are some of my faves.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Gosh. I've managed to carve out my own path in this life...This is cool.

Teach, Learn, Share

I read once that we shouldn't actively try to teach others until we are at least 50. I ain't 50...;) I love to learn, about everything. Sharing is central to my community and we are made better in collaboration. It's science!

What I Can Share with Hosts

The hidden treasures of Mexico City and a generosity born from being given much from many in this life.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
