Overview
About Me
I am an open minded, sportive and very travel-active physicist. I love to be outside, try any kind of sports, and I enjoy my field of research, which is medical radiation physics. I recently started the PhD in Physics at the University of Oldenburg. Besides that, I work part time in radiation therapy at a local hospital and give physics lectures at college.
For the past six years I've usually spent about a third of each year abroad or on tour. I love to travel and to meet people from different cultures.
You'll find that I'm also enthusiastic about technology. I like working with computer systems, digital photography, high-end technology, which I get my hands on a lot as a physicist.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd love to show you Oldenburg, Bremen and the surrounding places. I've been hosted by several great hosts so far and I'd like to return the favor.
My first experience with Couchsurfing was when I was hosted in Vienna in September 2011. Since then I've couchsurfed in Seattle, USA, and in Grenoble, France. It was a blast and I'm looking forward to continue surfing!

Music, Movies, and Books
Usually, you'll find me listening to electronic music. I like the beats and I like music with lots of energy to it!
Some of my favourite book authors are Terry Pratchett, Patrick Rothfuss, Douglas Adams, JRR Tolkien, George RR Martin.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been lucky enough to go on several amazing journeys so far. One of them was a bike ride from Barcelona to Rome, another a Bus tour across Canada together with 50 other exchange students, another a road trip across western Europe with my sister, several visits in Macedonia, ... Oh did you ever go swimming in the North Sea on January 1st? It's very cold but highly recommendable!
Teach, Learn, Share
Physicists strive for understanding of nature. Along that never ending path I've stumbled across many interesting things, which I love to share. Also, I am responsible for the university's observatory. So if the weather is good, I can give you a tour!
