I graduated from Oberlin College in 2015 where I double majored in Computer Science and Physics. I studied jazz guitar for ~9 years and switched to bass two years ago. I love bass! At college I got into Capoeira Angola, taught by Professor Justin Emeka, and it changed my life. I've been playing for 3 years now and would love to find others to play with!

I currently live in NYC and I LOVE IT. I previously lived in San Francisco where, like everyone and their dog, I worked as a software engineer (you can ask where).

In the past, I was born in Germany to an American mom and Brasilian dad, and moved to the U.S. when I was 5. I'm not German, and I forgot how to speak German after a wacky encounter at the playground. But I know how to say "I don't speak German" in German d:

I'm a music person mostly. I'm into Tigran Hamasyan, Hiatus Kaiyote, Kamasi Washington, Mingus, Dhafer Youssef, Radiohead, Aphex Twin, Samiam, Radiolab, Flying Lotus, Lauryn Hill, D'Angelo, The Books, Tin Hat Trio, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Zoe Keating, it goes on and on and on. Gosh. I dunno. I can teach and share the things I know on guitar and bass, and I love to talk about science topics and mathy things. I love talking about stuff, and I especially like it when conversations just go anywhere.
