My name is Dan and I am from Indiana. I've spent the majority of my life in the midwest and am looking to explore different cultures and experiences in the USA and around the world. I have strong passions for music, cooking, and reading. I developed a fondness for the outdoors and exploring the natural world during my time as a boy scout when I was younger.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am curious to see how other people live and to learn from them, as well as see a side of a culture that isn't just tourist destinations, allowing for learning about things that may not have occurred otherwise.

Too many to list out... I enjoy most all kinds of music, but primarily electronic music, alternative and hip-hop.

I enjoy arthouse films, cult films and almost anything of an alternative nature. American Pop, Repo Man and any Coen Brothers Film just to name a few.

I read a lot of science fiction and non-fiction books about spirituality and various other topics. The last things I’ve read were Slade House by David Mitchell and A Burglar’s Guide to the City.
