Overview
About Me
Hey couchsurfing! My name is Dan Casey- I'm a mechanical engineering student in Boston, Massachusetts.
I love to play guitar; go on hikes; climb rocks, do woodworking; and dive into DIY projects. I also love bicycle touring.
Through my bicycle tours, I've had great experiences meeting hosts through Warmshowers.com- the hospitality network for bicycling tourists that connects cyclists with great people to host them for a night of their journey. I'm hoping to carry over some of those good vibes to Couchsurfing, and get to know some people in this community.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing to see the places I visit through the eyes of local residents. I'm hoping to meet some awesome hosts who will share some stories and advice about the places they live in, and I'm hoping to return the favor as a Couchsurfing host myself.

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC: Mostly Indie rock, Blues, and Jazz.
MOVIES: science fiction and adventure movies. I love the Coen brothers.
BOOKS: I just finished my first Oscar Wilde novel with a friend and loved it (Dorian Gray)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Right after my freshman year of college, I rode my bicycle from Boston to Shenandoah National Park in Virginia.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to learn about the culture of the places I visit; pick up some of the local language (if not english); and hopefully bring some new recipes home with me. I'm down for anything - just happy to be here!
I'd be stoked to find some new music to add to my repertoire as well!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my experiences with bike touring; and give any tips or advice into how to get on a bike and away on a tour of your own. I also know a bit about bike maintenance, so happy to chat about that or take a look at your ride!
I'd also love to talk about woodworking, what it's like to be an engineer, cool stuff going on in the world of design and engineering, and the magic of 3D printing.
Guitar is fair game too! Would love to talk guitar, jam to some blues, or just swap favorite bands.
