I am a teacher who works with students on various projects.
I am the only child and am taking care of my parents. I spend a lot of time with reading and books.
I also like to travel and chat with people.
I am on skype and google hangouts.
I can only be a tour guide as I drive and know the Bay Area well, and cannot host as I am taking care of my elder parents at home.
One thing I noticed in COSU is that a lot of young people when they want a host do not age discriminate (they will accept any age host as it is free) but when asked to return the favor they will age discriminate (avoid older people), kind of funny, haha.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I know the feeling of visiting a foreign land and not having a safe way to enjoy the culture and sights. I have been showing visitors from other lands the wonders of my city and nearby. I feel this site lets me meet new people and also be a good guide for their safe travel. As a student in USA I used to meet my host family and it was very enjoyable. Now as a person residing in USA I like to be a good host and guide to others who visit this great country.

I read a lot of web articles and news.
I feel that watching a movie in a theater is expensive, and the food is horrible, so I prefer to watch it on the net. If I do watch in a theater I prefer IMAX/3D. I generally like neo-realism and action genre of movies.

Basically I want to show people around the Silicon Valley, and the Bay Area. So I can meet visitors and drive them around for a day or so, or even a weekend. If they need suggestions for place to stay I can do so also. I can travel to other places in CA. I can help to get them to/from the airport.
