Overview
About Me
I am traveling teacher. I grew up in Vermont and New Hampshire, in the snowy northeastern corner of the United States.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting new people is the most interesting part of traveling for me, and couchsurfing is the best way to do that! I also don't make very much money teaching abroad.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am very open-minded about music and movies. If I don't like it, I find it interesting to think about why I don't like it.
That said, my favorite movies are Life is Beautiful, Before Sunrise, and Cool Hand Luke. My favorite shows are Arrested Development, Community, Stranger Things, Sherlock and Black Mirror.
Favorite books is too broad...I love immersive sci-fi or fantasy books, but I also like speculative stuff like Vonnegut or David Mitchell. Also history and biographies. And pop-psych. And Roald Dahl, Jack London and Douglas Adams.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In the Marshall Islands, I used to go spearfishing alone after school every day. I would attach a cinder block around my waist and sit on the bottom of the reef watching the sharks and the turtles and the rays and the fish sailing back and forth around me until I ran out of air.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a teacher, so I'm always happy to help with anything academic. Other than that, I am good with computers.
I am interesting in learning physical skills: magic, juggling, crafts, etc.
Sharing is good.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would be very happy to share groceries and cook for my hosts. Moreover, I hope to share my enthusiasm for their hometown.
