About Me

I'm 28, went to school for environmental science but currently work as a subaru technician. I currently live in denver, colorado. Been living here for nearly 4 years and love it here in colorado. The main reason I moved here was to snowboard, kayak, hike and explore everything the rocky mountains have to offer. In New York i worked as a snowboard instructor at hunter mountain and did part time environmental consultant work. I'm extremely clean and respectful, not afraid to do the dishes or help out in whatever way I can. Very handy with tools, carpentry, mechanic work or any little projects. I'll be in europe for most of the summer and would definitely be down for some work exchange or some sort to help me get along with my travels. Music is a big part of who i am, I've been playing guitar for 14 years and love jamming! Not into the whole crazy party life, more into the hang out and drink a glass of wine life. If theres anything else you wanna know just ask!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Ive always surfed in the united states but mainly on my friends couches so i didn't use this as much as i would have liked to. Now that I'm going to europe, id like to do it so i can get the chance to meet some local people who would be willing to give me advice on where to go or what to eat/see/smell haha all of the interactions! I'll either be staying at hostels or trying this out so i can save some money and meet some new faces!

Music, Movies, and Books

I can pretty much get down to any music, i play funk and jazz on guitar so those tug my heart strings the most but I'm open to mostly anything. Definitely a bit of a nerd, i enjoy documentaries but at the same time i love any funny movies or movies with great plots and stick to a good story line. I'd like to say that i read but i don't nearly as much as i should.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A friend and I went Standing Rock for a week to help out the native americans in their fight against an oil pipeline. Absolutely wild experience, 10 thousand people formed a city in the middle of North Dakota to stop an oil company from illegally drilling under a massive reservoir. I met so many people from all over the world who traveled there to help in anyway they could. I cut trees, built roofs and insulated floors for the main tribal chiefs and was able to meet them all, which was pretty surreal. My friend and I raised over 3,000 dollars to donate. We spent it on chainsaws, gas, tools, new chains, and vehicle repairs for some of the more important vehicles (plow truck, water truck, and trailers). Sad that its now just a blip in history but to me it meant a lot and i don't think ill ever experience anything quite like it again.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a man of many hobbies and i'd like to think i know a little bit about a lot of things haha. Haven't been person to turn down learning anything, i get absorbed pretty quickly in learning something new and i most certainly love teaching people (snowboard instructor for 6 years).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can most certainly share lots of laughs! If you have a guitar i might even play you a song or two
need someone in the kitchen to cook it up?!? I'm your guy vegan, vegetarian or meat i can cook at least one thing for everyone! Im italian and it runs in the family
I've got plenty of great stories about all of my travels. It takes a lot to get me the least bit uncomfortable, anxiety is not really an issue and i generally skip the whole feeling out process with people and give them the benefit of the doubt right away, which turns out to be good and bad sometimes. Either way, I'm a fun go getter kinda guy who gets along with just about anyone!
